Step-by-step installation

1. Download the installer: Go to the Proton Drive download page and click the Download for Windows button.
2. Select the right file: From the dropdown menu, choose the version that matches your system's processor (typically Windows 11/10 (x64) for most computers). If you're unsure, you can find this information in your Windows settings under System → About.
3. Run the installer: Find the downloaded .EXE file (it will likely be in your Downloads folder) and double-click it to run the installation wizard.
4. Follow the prompts: The app will install automatically. You will then be prompted to sign in with your Proton Account username and password.
5. Set up syncing: After logging in, you can choose which folders on your computer you want to sync with Proton Drive. You can select folders to add and then click Continue or Finish to start the process.
