Initial Setup & User Management (Web Portal)

Create Logins: For each household member, log in to the TELUS SmartHome web portal (use same credentials as app login) and go to Menu > Users > Manage logins > Add a login to create unique accounts with permissions.

Add Users in App: In the app, go to Menu > Users, tap the '+' icon, and add family members, assigning access levels and codes. 

Adding Devices (App)

For Thermostats/Other Devices: Install the device physically, then set it up in its specific manufacturer's app (e.g., Resideo).

Link via SmartHome+: In the TELUS SmartHome+ app, use the 'Add' function, select the device type/brand, and follow prompts to link your manufacturer account.

For Cameras (e.g., V523): In the app's "Add device" menu, select the camera, join its unique Wi-Fi network (e.g., ADCV523...) from your phone's Wi-Fi settings, enter your home Wi-Fi details, and wait for connection. 

Linking Accounts & Notifications

Link Accounts: To link other accounts (like thermostat manufacturer), go to Menu > Linked systems, tap '+ Add', and enter credentials for the other service.

Set Up Notifications: Customize alerts (SMS/email) for specific events in the Notifications tab of the web portal or app. 

Quick Access & Security

Add Widget: On your iPhone Home Screen, touch and hold, tap '+', search "SmartHome", and add widgets for quick access to controls.

Face ID/Touch ID: Enable Face ID or Touch ID in the app settings for secure, quick logins on compatible iOS devices.
