Getting Started with Tools and Filters
After opening an image, access Tools and Filters by tapping TOOLS to add an edit. Tools will help to perfect the image, from cropping and straightening to removing spots and scratches. From there, Filters can be applied to add style.

The order in which Tools and Filters are applied matters. For example, adding Frames before adding Lens Blur will blur the frame. If Frames is added after Lens Blur, the frame will remain sharp.

Compare in one click.Tap and hold  within a Tool or Filter to reveal the before image. Or from the home screen, tap and hold the image itself.

Zoom in to see details using a pinching gesture on the image. Use two fingers to pan through the image when zoomed.

The workflow is non-destructive. Working in Stacks allows for adjusting previously-applied edits made in Tools and Filters, even after saving the image.

Develop: RAW Editing
Develop will launch immediately upon opening a RAW file, but is also accessible through the Tools and Filters menu when a RAW file is open. Once opened, swipe vertically on the image to access the edit menu. Once an option has been selected, swipe horizontally to enhance. The menu includes:

Exposure Adjust the amount of light in the image.
Shadows Only adjust the brightness of the shadows, or darkest areas of the image.
Highlight Only adjust the brightness of the highlights, or brightest areas of the image.
Contrast Adjust the degree of difference between shadows and highlights.
Structure Increase the amount of details in the image. Structure uses a unique algorithm to bring out the texture of objects throughout the photo, without affecting the edges of the objects.
Temperature Adjust the balance between cool blue tones and warm yellow tones in the image.
Tint Adjust the balance between green and magenta tones in the image.
What is RAW?
A digital camera measures red, green and blue light separately, then analyzes these measurements to create colors. However, there are a lot more colors that a camera can measure than are visible by the human eye.

For example, JPEG files are images made up of actual colors that the eye can see. Extra color data gets clipped and simplified, like the brightest and darkest parts of the image appearing solid white or solid black.

RAW files store the original sensor data, meaning that the RAW file is not actually an image yet. What may appear solid white or solid black can still be manipulated to recover color data.

Lightning to USB Camera Adapter can be used in combination with a camera’s USB port or even a USB SD card reader to read all supported RAW files and allow the user to import them to the Camera Roll. Check it out in the Apple Store.
EyeFi MobiPro RAW files can be transferred to an iOS device via Wifi using “Eyefi Mobi” app and selecting share/save photo. Photos will be saved as RAW files to the Camera Roll. Note: This requires iOS 9.3.4.
Google Drive Select a photo in Drive, tap on the dot dot dot icon, then select “send copy”. Drive will download the file. Select “Save Photo” to save it to the Camera Roll, or “Open in” to directly open it in Snapseed. Note: This requires Drive v4.12 and iOS 9.3.4.
